Under the direction of Mrs. Kathy Cordova the OPHS Singers have competed at the State and District level and received superior ratings in both performance and sight reading. Mrs. Cordova holds a Bachelor and a Master’s of Music Education with an emphasis on Vocal Music from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is a member of the Louisiana Music Educators Association and the Music Educators National Conference. Mrs. Cordova is the Secretary and Membership Chairperson of the American Choral Directors Association in Louisiana and has also served on the Ouachita Parish Music Curriculum Committee. In addition to teaching choir she also teaches Fine Arts Survey and Piano at Ouachita.
